Hot Chocolate

My first try at Weekend Writing Warriors, for a story or excerpt of 8 sentences. This one is a stand-alone story of 8 sentences. A quickie of erotic fiction.

Hot Chocolate

“Will it ever get warmer again?” Lucy asked as she shed her coat.

“I know a great way to warm you up right now,” Carl said,” before spring gets here.”

“Oh, really?” she asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Hot chocolate—the real stuff, and not that cocoa powder junk.”

“Mmm, that sounds nice, too.”

Carl retrieved a bar of Dove’s dark chocolate and said, “And the best way to drink it is in bed … naked.”

A smile lifted at one corner of Lucy’s lips before she said, “I knew there was a reason I married you. I’ll be waiting in bed … and I’ll be getting ready for you.”

  1. Welcome to the group 🙂 I love this snippet and considered how bloody cold this winter has been, it’s very timely. Great job!

  4. Very cleaver. You realise the challenge if for 8 sentences from a story, not an 8 sentence story…I haven’t participated in www in a while since I write mostly flash fiction. Had you written 9 fewer words it would have been a drabble

  5. Thanks for sharing this, even if it was under a misapprehension! I didn’t think they were married until she mentioned it, but very fun stuff. Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors!
