It’s a brilliant idea to have National Novel Writing Month in November, since all that left-over Halloween candy can be used as great snacks!

I broke 10,000 words, and I’m at 12,882 words for You’re Next, the horror novel I’m writing for NaNoWriMo. The writing’s going very well — I’m out of a slow, background-type scene and picking up steam for the next intense scene. Damn, I love writing!

Here’s a sentence from my NaNo writing so far:

The rest of the scenario played out, as the curious shopper fled down the two flights of stairs, ran outside the shop, grabbed the first person they saw, and jabbered, “There’s a dead man! There’s a dead man in that store!”

  1. You suck!!! 😉 I’m just kidding … kinda. Congrats on finding your writing groove. Maybe the secret is the candy. Good thing I found some double dipped chocolate covered peanuts this morning! My novel should be finished by tomorrow if I eat that bag! LOL

  4. You’re doing so well with this. It’s good to get ahead early in the month so you can have a break later on (although writers never have a ‘day off’). Best of luck with the rest!
